The home turf of amateur TJ Tatran Cierny in Slovakia will surprise many fans when there is a rails between the stands and the field. The audience can even witness a train passing by during the game.
Imagine how thrilling your experience will be when you arrive at TJ Tantran Cierny’s stadium, witness a train running along the piste road. This is the only stadium in the world with a railway crossing.
This railway was built in the early 1900s to transport timber from Cierny Balog to Hronec. Later, this railway network expanded and had a length of up to 132,000 km. At the time people built the rail, there was no football field like it is today.
Only later, when the village developed, did they create a local soccer field. Specifically, in 1982, the railway stopped working, but 10 years later, it started running again limited to this railway line, to serve tourists. Čierny Hron railway is currently 17 km long.
When the rail line was started, the movement in Cierny did not appear. Later, the area developed, along with the railway that stopped operating in 1982, a stadium began to be built. However, 10 years later, the railway began to run again as a heritage route for tourists, 17 km long.
This stadium belongs to the local team TJ Tatran Cierny. This is a small game with only 2 stands on the same side. The uniqueness of this locomotive makes it famous and attracts tourists.
However, the Mirror is afraid that whenever a train passes, it will make a loud noise, affecting the players playing, as well as restricting the visibility of the fans in the stands. Meanwhile, the football field belongs to the local TJ Tatran Čierny Balog club. This is just a small stadium, with two stands on one side and open “freedom” on the other.
