You might not know that stadiums all over the world sometimes bear many surprising secrets which will not be unfolded if you are not staff who works for them.
- Built on landfill sites
There are a lot of sports stadiums nowadays which were built on old landfill sites, for example, Comiskey Park stadiums or Giants stadium in New Jersey (America).
Therefore, it comes as no surprise if you find numerous types of rubbish lying right down this stadium. At first glance, it may be a good idea to reuse old landfill sites. However, there are a lot of comments which showed disapprovals to these stadiums as they might make a huge impact on the health of athletes in a negative way, as well as spectators heading for them.
In 1990, Washing Post newspaper reports that 4 athletes of the New York Giant rugby team were infected with cancer, and it is stranger that their diseases recurred at the same period. This is considered to be phenomenal and there are not few people thought that this was because they did a lot of rehearsals on the stadium built on the former landfill site.
However, this is just a baseless hypothesis.
2. Permanent sniper team
Nowadays, the majority of stadiums all around the world thrive to strengthen their security by having sniper teams on some possible spots.
This seems to have become a standard and a compulsory security factor, especially during special events having the presence of national heads of state, politicians or celebrities.
